Thoughts at War
60 × 100 cm (70 × 110 cm framed) · Digital composition (2023), acrylic on cotton canvas (2025)
In war, the mind turns to love — to the faces left behind, to the warmth that gives life meaning. It is a biological truth: when survival is threatened, the instinct to reproduce, to connect, becomes stronger. This work captures that fragile tension — a young soldier and a woman entwined in thought, their destinies joined by longing and loss. He faces death; she becomes the vision of life he may never return to. A quiet tragedy unfolds — one that belongs not only to them, but to all who have ever loved at the edge of extinction. The title reflects this improbable meeting — two separate lives that time pressed into one frame.
A coincidence so precise that it feels destined.
