Welcome to the turning point in my artistic journey, where the past and present collide through the unique medium of degraded glass negative plates. I'm excited to share with you my first solo show, "Metamorphosis," which was curated by Dr. Kostas Prapoglou in 2019. Mr. Charalambos Bakirtzis' brilliant opening address will guide you through this transforming experience.
You won't discover the faces you'd expect to see in Spyros Haritou's century-old images. Instead, you'll find them shrouded in acrylic, their identities respectfully concealed. This inventive choice not only safeguards the anonymity of the persons shown but also draws your attention to the ravages of time as manifested by the disintegrating glass plates.
