Crimson Residue 2026 continues the evolution of Sergis Adamos’s exploration into pure deterioration as material. Instead of figures or fused portraits, this work isolates the organic marks generated by time — chemical burns, emulsion fractures, surface corrosion — and reconstructs them into a deliberate, atmospheric abstraction.

The dark red background creates density and emotional gravity, allowing the fragments to appear suspended within a glowing field. What once functioned as photographic damage is redefined as structure, rhythm, and movement. The composition carries a sense of sedimentation — layers of memory compressed into a contemporary visual language.
